The Alpha Mu Chapter of The Alpha Tau Omega
HISTORY
“The Alpha Mu Chapter of The Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity was chartered November 21, 1881. It is the 12th oldest Active Chapter of The Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Alpha Tau Omega (ATO) has been a vital part of Adrian College’s campus since 1881. ATO was the first fraternity founded after the Civil War, and the first fraternity based on Christian—not Greek—principles. On Adrian College’s campus, the brothers of ATO are active and involved in many campus organizations and activities ranging from being in the marching band to running cross country, from WVAC to resident life.”
Founded in 1865 at the Virginia Military Institute, ATO is dedicated to instilling leadership skills and promoting academic success on campus. The Adrian College ATO chapter is the fourth-oldest of all ATO chapters in the country.
Alpha Tau Omega is a social fraternity that focuses on developing leadership qualities in its members.
